I still spend alot of time reading, learning, and thinking about puppies, breeding and whelping. :) I love puppies and strive to breed the very best. I have learned from personal experience, as well as hearing from a vet, and reading, that short coated Chis are not as sweet and lovable as long coated, so have decided to now only breed long coated Chihuahuas. Short coated Chis seem to be bred more, at least in the Reno, Nv. area, and I hope people will see my pups as the unique, adorable little dears that they are. :)
I begin house training and kennel training before going home. All my puppies are loved from before conception on by both myself and my whole family. They are hand held daily and are used to children of all ages, and other pets, both large and small Canine breeds and cats. I vaccinate and de-worm my puppies and keep records. They will be given fresh baths right before going home. My Chis live in the house as well as outside in a fenced in area, or on a leash.
My sire, Shakespeare, in CKC registered and has a good pedigree, dominantly long coated. He is the sweetest Chi and loves to cuddle and give kisses. He is 4lbs, as you read on our web site, and black and white. He is the most obedient dog I have ever known and is very intelligent.
Julia, my dam, is long coated and I do not have registration papers on her. She has both long and short coats in here lineage. She is a larger Chi and is such a good mother! She is sweet to every one and is a very good family dog.
Although we are 1,000 miles apart LeAnne helps me by constructing our web site, putting up with me, and is always there to hear my babblings. :) She is a wonderful friend and co-worker! :) Her web site is all over my blog! :) I love it!! :)
